GOALS
Mission of Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Michigan Association (FAAMA)
FAAMA is a professional association with a primary purpose to share expertise and partner with fellow healthcare professionals working with the food allergy patient population. FAAMA aims to contribute to advancing the science on IgE mediated food allergy and anaphylaxis by collaborating on related research. Additionally, selected resources, referrals and collaborative initiatives are shared with healthcare colleagues to assist in professional endeavors which impact patients with IgE mediated food allergy at risk for anaphylaxis. FAAMA also collaborates with legislators on food allergy related health policy efforts. FAAMA was founded in February 2015. Four Main Objectives of FAAMA Provide formal professional evidenced based health education on IgE mediated food allergy/anaphylaxis.
****************************************************************************** Since 2017, FAAMA has prioritized its goals from conference planning to initiating and/or collaborating on food allergy research, online continuing professional education and food allergy/anaphylaxis related health policy initiatives.
