CONFERENCE CONTENT
Conference content focuses on IgE mediated food allergy with risk for anaphylaxis and not other forms of adverse reactions to foods such as food intolerance.

OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- To present epidemiology of IgE mediated food allergy and its impact on public health.
- To cover anaphylaxis prevention and preparedness measures.
- To discuss adverse connections between IgE mediated food allergy, asthma, atopic dermatitis and subsequent management implications.
- To share selected food allergy resources for patients/families.
- To share school food allergy management strategies and role differentiation of collaborative team members.
- To provide an update on Michigan Association of School Nurses recommendations for state school management of anaphylaxis.
- To share best practices related to university food allergy management.
- To highlight the value of an inter-disciplinary team approach (e.g. MD, RN, RD) to food allergy management in clinical and public health settings.
